With YOU ARE FREE Jan Pusch will be completing his cross-media trilogy projections on the move. The first parts, the full-length pieces INTO THE BLUE (2001) and MATCH (2004) introduced video projections interacting with the live performers in a unique manner and toured Latin America, India, Japan and Europe until 2012. While in three solos, INTO THE BLUE was focusing on the individual exploring the possibilities and implementations of the virtual, the duet MATCH took the multi-layered struggle with images and projections to a couple, the smallest social unit. Now YOU ARE FREE will expand the exploration of interdependencies between the digital revolution and human patterns to a more complex level: the modern, digital society.
